Does Marijuana Relieve Physical Pain?

Marijuana is commonly used for pain relief for patients suffering from cancer, multiple sclerosis, and other diseases that cause severe pain. New studies show that cannabis cigarettes help patients may not be so bothered by physical pain. Following the researchers from Oxford University it is shown that the substance of cannabis does not reduce pain intensity, but rather makes it more bearable.

An evaluation of the brain has shown that the substance known as THC reduces the activity in the areas related to emotional aspects of pain. But not all patients had the same reaction. Long-term pain, often without a clear cause, it’s a complicated issue that health care systems face. They deal with different ways to help patients with pain and may include medication, psychotherapy and other forms of psychological therapy.

Marijuana makes you feel good, because THC makes the brain to secrete dopamine – the substance that makes you happy. Of course its use in excess comes with dangerous side effects, such as addiction and the degenerative evolution of brain cells.

Until now, research has shown that marijuana can treat Alzheimer’s, multiple sclerosis, diabetes, hepatitis C, hypertension, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis, gastrointestinal disease and Tourette syndrome. If you no longer have solutions for your disease you should give it a try!
